City of Louisa Plans Participation in River Sweep 2017

 

 

LOUISA,KY - The City of Louisa plans to facilitate a clean up in conjunction with the annual Ohio River Sweep. “ As part of the larger plan to market and utilize the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy as a tourist attraction this is a great opportunity for us to improve the image” said Mayor, Harold Slone. By partnering with the Ohio River Sweep they provide marketing, trash bags and t-shirts for all the volunteers.

 

The Clean Up will take place on JUNE 17, 2017. The plans are to clean the area around the locks and  about 1/4 mile up and down stream.  The organization  Location will be behind the city pool at 9am. More details are forthcoming.
